About Julia

Extensive Experience

Julia Gorman is a senior charitable sector professional with extensive experience in driving organizational success with major non profits as well as private family foundations.  Julia’s thirty year career in the not for profit sector spans strategic leadership, fundraising, and communications with local and national charitable causes.  She was with United Way Greater Toronto for over two decades in increasingly senior management roles, and led the $100 Million Annual Campaign as Chief Development Officer.  

Building Relationships

Building strong relationships with volunteers and donors has been central to Julia's career, ensuring they achieve their philanthropic objectives and impact through their giving. This focus continues to inform her work with individual clients, Foundation Board directors, advisors and community organizations.  

Coach and Mentor

An active volunteer, Julia is a Board Director with TD’s Private Giving Foundation and a Committee member with the Canadian Association of Gift Planners (Toronto Chapter).  She is a professional mentor to senior staff and directors of several charitable organizations in the Toronto and Ottawa areas.
